Canada occupies most of North America and is, size-wise, the second largest country in the world. There is nothing small about Canada and this makes it the ideal place for broadening horizons, traveling adventurously, and learning all about a country and its culture passionately.
When Is the Best Time to Go?
Canada is a very large country that occupy the northern part of North America. It is actually the biggest country in the western hemisphere and the second largest one in the world by total area, with 9,984,670 squad kilometers! From administrative point of view, Canada has ten provinces (Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, and Quebec) and three territories (Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon). This country is also one of the most developed countries on the planet and one of its leading industries is tourism. With so many attractions and destinations where can be spent different types of vacations, travel deals to Canada are numerous and tailored for pockets of all sizes. Hotels in Canada are of all categories, from budget lodging units which offer rustic accommodation up to luxury 4 and 5 star resorts that have excellent amenities and high level services.
Because of its size, is hard to visit all its interesting places and vacation attractions during a single holiday. Most tourists have not enough time to spend few months long vacations, so they are advised to choose a smaller part of the country for their getaway or holiday and to try to enjoy better the natural beauties, cultural heritages and other things that can be seen there. All provinces and territories have great attractions to visit. In anticipation of my upcoming trip to Ottawa next weekend I have started to do some research and contacted Ottawa Tourism. Ottawa, as Canada’s capital, is one of Canada’s most popular travel destinations and it has a great variety destinations, activities and events to offer.
I had an opportunity to talk with Jantine Van Kregten from Ottawa Tourism who was kind enough to give me a great general overview of things to see and do in Ottawa.
